The PresoMed® 4 Layer Compression Bandage Set is used to deliver continuous, sustained graduated compression therapy to counteract high pressure in the lower limb veins. By combining passive absorption layers with active elastic compression strands, this system reduces deep tissue swelling, forces pooled venous blood back toward the heart, and creates the optimal micro-environment required for chronic wound closure.
The PresoMed® 4 Layer Compression Bandage Set is a comprehensive, clinically synchronized compression management system. Rather than relying on a single heavy wrap, this system uses four distinct layers that work together to distribute pressure evenly, protect bony prominences, and prevent slippage.
When applied sequentially, the layers establish a robust mechanical gradient that maximizes venous return while dramatically lowering the frequency of dressing changes. The breathable configuration allows moisture and wound exudate to escape or absorb efficiently, protecting the healthy skin boundaries surrounding the ulcer from maceration and keeping the patient comfortable during extended wear cycles.
The system includes four carefully calibrated layers, designed to fit legs with an ankle width of 10 cm.
10 cm x 4 m (Unstretched). Absorbs wound exudate, patches over bony contours, and acts as a smooth, protective thermal barrier over fragile skin.
10 cm x 4.5 m (Stretched). Secures the protective padding layer flatly against the leg anatomy without wrinkling or shifting.
10 cm x 9.14 m (Stretched). Applies smooth, active graduated compression, focusing the maximum therapeutic force at the lower ankle region. Applied using the figure-of-8 technique.
10 cm x 4.5 m (Stretched). Coated to self-adhere tightly, sealing the entire system together to prevent slipping, bunching, or shifting for up to a full week.

Application Note: Designed to safely accommodate leg profiles within standard clinical measurements. For patients with ultra-thin or extra-thick ankles, modify base cushioning density to ensure an even gradient.
Clean the wound bed thoroughly and place a primary non-adherent dressing patch directly over the open venous ulcer.
Wrap the Orthopedic Padding starting at the base of the toes, moving up around the ankle with extra padding over the shin bone, ending just below the knee.
Apply the Conforming Bandage directly over the padding using a simple spiral technique to smooth it flat.
Apply the Compression Bandage using a figure-of-eight or spiral weave with consistent stretch tension to establish the true medical compression gradient.
Apply the Cohesive Bandage over the top, smoothing it firmly with your palms. The cohesive coating will lock the entire system together.
